When push comes to shove

Eventually one government minister's patience snapped with the nit-picking technical debate on mechanisms of debt relief for the world's poorest countries. Canada's Finance Minister, Paul Martin, seemed to have grown tired of the posturing and politicking that was snagging the debt reduction process and called for an immediate moratorium on debt repayments for the Heavily Indebted Poor Countries (HIPC) at the IMF and World Bank meeting in Prague
