The radar scandal is back

After Westminster MPs lambast BAE over the radar saga, questions about the accountability of Tanzanian officials remain

Hearings in the British parliament over the £29.5 million (US$47 mn.) BAE Systems must pay Tanzania over the radar affair have revived questions about whether any Tanzanians, especially Chama Cha Mapinduzi member of parliament and former Attorney General Andrew Chenge, will face prosecution (AC Vol 52 No 9). Rostam Aziz, widely associated with the Richmond scandal, has given up his CCM parliamentary seat and his position on the National Executive Committee (NEC), increasing pressure on Chenge to follow suit.
