Busting the busters

A combination of new surveillance technology and pressure on the United Nations to do more to clamp down on weapons flows to rebel movements in Africa is making life more difficult for arms dealers. Western governments are more prepared to share surveillance reports on illicit arms transfers with African governments such as Angola, Rwanda and Uganda. Western-based private intelligence agencies are now able to monitor rebel movements' money trails much more accurately than previously.
