Two suitors for the FPI

The political landscape has been in flux ever since Henri Konan Bédié's Parti démocratique de Côte d'Ivoire (PDCI) left the Rassemblement des houphouëtistes pour la démocratie et la paix (RHDP) coalition in July. Bédié and President Alassane Dramane Ouattara parted after it became clear each was interested in standing for the presidency in 2020.
