Khartoum's most wanted

The first test for the International Criminal Court's 12 July arrest warrant for genocide against President Omer Hassan Ahmed el Beshir is his visit to Ndjamena this week. Chad ratified its ICC membership in 2006 and is legally bound to arrest him. Before tentatively restoring relations, Chad's President Idriss Déby Itno had called for the African Union to expedite the arrest and trial of Omer on genocide charges.
