Treason's delays

A treason trial that raises human rights questions is under way virtually unnoticed in Windhoek's High Court. The 119 people on trial are charged with plotting the secession of Caprivi Region. They were accused of complicity in a Caprivi Liberation Army raid on government buildings in Katima Mulilo in August 1999, when five soldiers and policemen were killed.
