AC follows its report on lobbyists in Washington with a survey of 'reputation managers' active in London and Brussels

Located within walking distance of the European Union institutions, Rue Belliard is the Brussels equivalent of Washington DC's K Street and the centre of the lobbying industry in Europe. Disclosure rules in Europe are, however, far laxer than in the United States. While the US Foreign Agents' Registration Act requires all lobbyists working for any foreign government to be registered and to post documentation including the value of contracts, listing on the EU Transparency Register is entirely voluntary. So, too, is the United Kingdom's Association of Professional Political Consultants (APPC) register.
