Cocoa wars

The United Nations and European Union are stepping up pressure on President Laurent Gbagbo's government to account for its oil windfall funds and its levies on cocoa exports. The World Bank estimates the oil windfall has jumped from 194 million CFA francs (US$377,000) in 2003 to CFA1.14 billion in 2005.
