A nascent effort to set up a ‘Pan African Intelligence Agency’, led by the same group linked to the creation of the ‘Russosphere’ French-language disinformation campaign targeting Africa, was one of the main findings of tech organisation Logically’s deep dive into over 10,000 posts, 1,000 documents, and 40 minutes of audio recordings on Russian disinformation networks. The disinformation outfit, led by the United States-based Ramzu Yunus, purports to combat ‘imperial messaging’. When asked about his involvement, Yunus stated that it was ‘righteous’ and ‘in line with international law’.
