Tongue-tied BBC

After years of cutting services, the BBC World Service made a dramatic U-turn this month when the Director of the BBC World Service Group appointed last year, Francesca Unsworth, announced a plan to bring the World Service to more countries, 'especially those countries where impartial news is in short supply'. This, she said, 'includes a new short-wave daily news service for North Korea and short- and medium-wave news for Eritrea and Ethiopia.'
