Chief Executive Officer of International Enterprise Singapore
Teo Eng Cheong, 46, is head of International Enterprise Singapore, a government-run board whose Global Company Partnership helps private companies with access to markets and financing to ‘build up critical capabilities for internationalisation’. In January, IE opened a new overseas centre in Johannesburg, South Africa. Among the Singaporean dignitaries attending the launch were Bernard Baker, High Commissioner to South Africa, and Ng How Yue, Second Permanent Secretary at the Trade Ministry. Also present were South Africa’s Deputy Minister of International Relations Ebrahim Ismail Ebrahim and, representing Gauteng’s Executive Council for Economic Development, Nkosiphendule Kolisile.
