Freed of the burden of trial at the ICC, Kenyatta can get on with the business of government. Yet few can discern any strategy

Kenyans who have been wondering what President Uhuru Kenyatta's priorities for the country will be, now that he is no longer handicapped by charges at the International Criminal Court, need wait no longer. Unlike in the laid-back Mwai Kibaki era, the country is run by a presidency that intervenes in all economic sectors, party politics and government departments. Barely a day goes by without a major event featuring the president speaking on the needs of ordinary people, yet they often disregard established policy, budget and government plans.
